Our client, a successful contractor with a diverse workforce, is seeking an experienced and vibrant HR Business Partner / HR Generalist Advisor who has had a decent amount of exposure to Industrial Relations and Employee Relations issues within Mining and Construction. This is initially a contract position which may have the potential to turn in to a permanent role with the client, who are market leaders in construction and engineering services.
The successful candidate will have responsibility for the provision of high-quality HR generalist services. They will provide a strong link to the operations team, being a right-hand entity on ER & IR related issues and build strong working relationships with other HR operations, support teams and leaders, as a true business partner.
To be successful applicants will need to demonstrate a strong background in an HR Generalist role, with working knowledge of ER/IR issues, and have well-developed communication and problem-solving skills. Appropriate tertiary qualifications with 5 + years’ “hands-on” experience essential.
A down to earth style and willingness to get out and liaise at all levels within the business are essential criteria too. Be results orientated, customer service focused and have proven success in developing, mentoring and coaching IR/ER strategies to deal with business challenges will be important.
