$130,000 – $150,000 per year

Our client is a well-established oil and gas company with International headquarters and significant assets in Australia. They are currently looking for an Environmental Project Lead to oversee a project from pre-start to completion, which is to be completed by winter 2025.
The main responsibilities for this role include:
- Development of an environmental strategy to guide the company’s achievement of its environmental targets.
- Establishing and leading the team of contractors.
- Driving approvals processes to ensure achievement of operational targets.
- Providing advice on environmental management and compliance issues for operations.
- Site monitoring
- Assisting with liaising with the state and federal regulatory authorities.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Strong leadership skills and a proven ability to oversee projects from pre-start to finish.
- At least 3+ experience in environmental project management
- Experienced in handling civil tenders, contractor selection, logistical planning, coordination and preparation of EHS plans.
- Experience in environmental site rehabilitation is beneficial but not necessary
- Must be able to work autonomously and be self-driven
- Tertiary qualifications such as a degree in environmental science, environmental management, environmental planning, resource management, environmental engineering or another relevant discipline.
